When I was 13 years old and first started playing the electric guitar, I used to be in awe of my guitar teachers effects pedal board. He primarily used all Boss pedals and I used to think if I just had a similar array of these multi-coloured effects pedals, I could sound like Jimmy Hendrix or Jonny Greenwood when I played in my own bedroom.
Of course the reality was that I needed to practice a lot first before I could get any good at the electric guitar and sound like a rockstar, but still the versatility and range of sounds you can get out of boss effects pedals is mind blowing and can provide a huge creative edge. So that's why I started this site - because I love effects pedals and I particularly love Boss. They're super rugged and sound great, yet still affordable - and if Boss is good enough for the stars, that's good enough me.
